‘Paper light’ I remember the April morning, last year, when I came up with the name – it may well have been used by others…
I wanted to describe the colour and texture of the freshly bloomed blossom on the trees in the Park Road Gardens, just outside the small town centre in Grange-over- Sands, on the northern end of Morecambe Bay.

The blossom fades quickly. Its parchment-like texture rapidly loses its ‘fullness’… and the moment loses its soft brilliance.
But for that small interval, its splendour and sense of lightness is unmatched.
Happy Easter!
