There is no ‘law of objects’ in photography, but there is one guideline that seems to hold good: group things into ‘threes’.

I was standing in the lovely gardens of a local hotel when something in the ‘view’ took my eye.

After staring at it for a while I realised there were three dominant parts of the scene: the hedge and gardens; the lovely sky, and the double lamp.

Three things. It works for me!
