We had forgotten
In the turning of the clock
In the slide to dark afternoon
Lay a deeper power
—–
We had forgotten
The power of the fire
The gift from the beginning
The reaction of intelligence
—–
And in the darkness
Around the fire
Held within the flames
We remembered

I think there’s a lot in that, Jaye. I suspect it goes even further back, to when we first had fire, and did what later became known as scrying, into the flames – as natural a part of our natures as could be! Thank you for the reblogs x
